As you are now aware, Carers Federation have sadly lost the contract to work with schools and medical practices across Nottinghamshire South (Gedling Borough, Broxtowe borough and Rushcliffe and Hucknall district).
The new contract, starting 1st December is the Carers Promotion and Engagement Contract and has been awarded to Derbyshire carers Association.
On Thursday 21st November from 9am we are holding our final Carer Champion Forum at Carers Federation premises (address below).
We have been holding forums quarterly in each district for the past 4 years, however on 21st Nov we will bring all medical practice Carer Champions together for a final time.
This is an opportunity to thank the Carer Champions for their commitment to carers and for supporting our work, also a chance for them to hear from Notts County Council and Derbyshire Carers representatives what the new contract will look like.
We thought it would be useful to invite a small number of carers to attend the meeting.
We are looking for carers who live in Nottinghamshire South and have a Nottinghamshire South medical practice (Hucknall, Rushcliffe, Gedling, Broxtowe)
We would like carers to have a chance to hear about the new contract themselves, and feedback on good practice which they have experienced within their practice, and highlight any gaps which could be addressed within the new contract.
Please let us know if you would like to attend, and feel free to share this email with other carers you know who might be interested in attending. We would ask carers to turn up anytime from 9am but no later than 10am. Transport (buses, taxis) for carers attending will be paid for by Carers Fed and brunch will be served.
Email me in advance if you wish to attend.
Look forward to hearing from you,
