Dear Carer

The Carers’ Council Committee would like to provide you with an update of recent changes. We are living in uncertain and challenging times and therefore it is difficult to make solid plans about the future of the Carers’ Council.

We want to assure you that we are still running as a service and are at the end of the phone should you need to contact us. We would like to make you aware however, that the moment we do not have a full committee, so what we are able to provide is limited.

Furthermore, due to the government’s recent announcements regarding social gatherings and restrictions we are not able to hold our annual general meeting on 21st October. We have made the decision to postpone this until March 2021.

We want you to feel included in the decisions about the future of the carers council and we are encouraging all members to join us on video chat via zoom, e mail, and leave your stories and comments on our website: https://www.carers-council.org.uk/

We understand that you may not have access to the internet-don’t worry, we will keep you updated via phone and post, but we are encouraging all members to join us online for the most recent updates. If you would like to join a class or find out more about how to be more ‘tech savvy’ please contact Faye Brecknock on 07730513536.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during these difficult times.

Warmest Regards,

The Carers Council Committee
